Maintain Medical Records in accordance with regulations set by the State of New Hampshire; dictate and transcribe physician’s dictation for the purpose of resident documentation; transcribe discharge summaries of all deceased/discharged residents.
Review death and discharge charts for completions and proper order, filing charts upon completion and signature by physician.
Enter all Care Plans for new residents’, distribute to Unit Managers; complete Care Plan modifications for residents whose plans are more than 50% changed;
Prepare labeling for new residents’ charts for use on doctor’s order sheets; update physician’s 60 day review schedule as needed and/or requested.
Update and maintain Policy and Procedure books on all units
Manage and maintain incident reports records
Assist in uploading documents into the residents’ medical records
Attend a paid feeding training and assist with feeding residents at meals and/or assist with main dining room operation at meal time
Assist with electronic medical record documentation requests for appeals, denials and requests of insurance companies.
Cover for Ward Secretaries in their absence.
Cover for Staffing Coordinator in their absence
Assist Ward Secretaries and contact families regarding material needs; and assist residents with opening and forwarding mail.
